Professor Kyung-Kon Kim received his Ph.D. degree (2003) in Polymer Chemistry from Korea University (Seoul, Korea) under supervision of Prof. Jung-Il Jin. In 2003, he joined Center for Nanotechnology and Molecular Materials, Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC, USA) as a post-doctor to research on organic photovoltaics with Professor David L. Carroll. He worked on the organic-inorganic hybrid opto-electric materials at Yale School of Engineering & Applied Science with Prof. Jung Han from 2005 to 2006. He was a principal research scientist at the Solar Cell Center of Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) from July 2006 to Feb. 2012. He is currently at Department of Chemistry and Nano Science, Ewha Womans University. His main research topics are studying of optical and electrical properties of the organic semi-conductor and their opto-electric devices including organic based photovoltaics and next generation solar cells.
