Eun Kyung Shin Professor Emeritus
Shin, Eun-Kyung is Professor in Ewha Womans University at Dance Department specifically Ballet and Dance Education where she acquired doctorial degree. She was awarded 4th Scholarship Awards for The Korea Dance Education Society, 12th Korea Ballet Academy Awards and 18th Cultral and Arts Awards in Christianity. She actively performs not only in Korea but also internationally such as America, Australia, Cambodia, India and Kenya with a great number of classical ballet as well as contemporary, ethnic, ecumenical inclination ballet. She was invited to Smith College at Dance Department in America as a Visiting Professor, Harvard University Summer Visiting Artists, International Ballet Expo Seoul, Woga Korea World Women’s Mission Conference and 2014 Global Korean Diaspora Mission Conference, and therefore she enhances the nation’s ballet position. Her major practical works are <The Messiah>, <The Room>, <Symphony of Psalms>, <Ryu Gwan Sun> and there are a lot more. In addition, her theoretical works of articles are <The Study on a Paradigm for Dance Curriculum of Higher Education in 21st Century>, <Power of Dance Imaginary Expression Learning as Nonverbal Communication> etc., and books are <What is Dance Education>, <Power of Dance Education>, <Theory of Dance> as a co-author and <Creative Dance For All Ages>, <Dance Teaching Methods and Curriculum Design> as a joint translation. She served as the President of The Korea Dance Education Society, a member of Central Board of Korea Arts Education in Dance, and also currently she is a member of the Organiser of Ballet Festival Korea, the Vice-President of the Society of Korean Ballet, the Executive Director of Korea Ballet Association, the Artisitic Director of Ewha Ballet Ensemble and the President of Ballet Blanc.
