Dr. Young Mi Park is a certified physician-scientist having the internal medicine specialty board and the cell biology ph.D.. Dr. Park graduated from Ewha Womans University School of Medicine and Graduate School of Ewha Womans University and completed her ph.D. program in the Case Western Reserve University, OH, U.S.A.. Dr. Park actively performs many research projects to find out mechanisms of obesity-related metabolic syndrome including atherosclerosis and diabetes. Dr. Park was chosen for being a person who enhanced the national prestige by BRIC for her work demonstrating a mechanism of atherosclerosis in 2009. She was also awarded by many institutions including American Heart Association (Young Investigator Award), North American Vascular Biology Organization (Junior Investigator Award), Cleveland Clinic (Robert C. Tarazi Fellowship Award for Cardiovascular Research) and Case Western Reserve University, U.S.A (Lester O. Krampitz Research Award)..
