Prof. Jae Hyang Lim is a faculty member of Dept. of Microbiology at Ewha Womans University School of Medicine. Research field of Prof. Lim is Cellular Microbiology, and her researches have been focused on the understanding the innate immune responses during pneumococcal and influenza infections to develop therapeutic strategies for treating respiratory infections. In particular, reseraches published in Immunity and Nature Communications significantly contributed to our understanding on the molecular pathogenesis of acute lung injury and fibrotic scar formation follwoing pneumococcal infections.
