Professor Lee majored in architecture and urban design based on spatial design, which allows her to work in various fields. Her primary research area is walkable neighborhood design, reflected in her design practice, mainly carrying out urban regeneration projects and design education. Before joining the faculty at Ewha Womans University, she was an architectural designer for three years at Studio Daniel Libeskind in New York, where she participated in a large complex and commercial and office facility design projects. After returning to Korea, she established her design studio, conducting representative design projects such as renovating the old apartment complex's community spaces in Gayang-dong and remodeling the office facility in Gwanghwamun. As a principal investigator, she has had three grants from the National Research Foundation of Korea while doing her Ph.D., a post-graduate program, and as an assistant professor. In particular, research outcomes in her Ph.D. reached the top 10%. She received awards for excellent papers at the Autumn Annual Conference of the Urban Design Institute of Korea (2022), the Architectural Institute of Korea (2018), and the Korean Housing Association (2018).
