Ewha “Research Center for Simulated Reality and Contents Convergence” Participating in the 2022 ITRC Forum

Ewha “Research Center for Simulated Reality and Contents Convergence (Head: Professor Young Jun Kim, Computer Science and Engineering)” exhibited its research results at the “ITRC Human Resources Development Competition” held at Coex, Seoul from April 20 to 22. Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and organized by the Institute for Information & Communication Technology Planning & evaluation (IITP), the ITRC forum is an event that showcases the excellent research results of master's and doctoral researchers in the ICT field across the country. The 2022 ITRC forum was designed to guide the public to easily understand and experience ICT technology studied by 28 universities and 50 research centers in Korea, and planned as a public participatory exhibition to be held with the “World IT Show 2022,” the largest ICT exhibition in Korea.
At this exhibition, the Research Center for Simulated Reality and Contents Convergence (http://itrc.ewha.ac.kr) introduced simulation-based technologies needed for realizing Simulated Reality, an imitation of reality in an extreme manner, and technologies that efficiently create converged contents including robots, drones, personal media, education, and multimodal content visualization. In particular, the exhibition had many visitors experience the research results of the center through the exhibitions such as real-time drone pilot simulation and real-time robot drawing simulation.
