The team run by Prof. Mi Sook Cho of Department of Nutritional Science & Food Management ranked first in the operation performance evaluation of the "2020 Food Start-up Incubation Project" co-hosted and organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs as well as aT(Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation). Her team, also known as “Youth Nurturing Restaurant of Sinchon” fulfilled every screening criteria and was selected as the next business operator in 2021.
In addition, the team’s subteam, "Bakebean Team" won the AT President's Award, the Encouragement Award, at the "2020 Competition of Youth Nurturing Restaurant," which was held online on December 22, 2020. At the competition, the team "Bakebean," comprising of students from Department of Nutritional Science & Food Management, received favorable reviews. They tried several projects such as developing vegetarian menus as well as carrying out effective Social network marketing.
Ewha has been selected as the " Food Start-up Incubation Project " operator for three years this year, providing practical business opportunities for youth who want to start their own restaurants. In addition to the store space, participants can be provided with on-site consulting as well as customized start-up education programs. The application period of “2020 Food Start-up Incubation Project” is from Feb 5 to Feb 15.
