As a result of the 29th Certified Public Labor Attorney Qualification Exam in 2020, 9 Ewha students, including Da-jeong Moon (Department of International Office Administration, ‘14), who took the lead, have passed.
As a result of the 29th Certified Public Labor Attorney Qualification Exam in 2020, 9 Ewha students, including Da-jeong Moon (Department of International Office Administration, ‘14), who took the lead, have passed.
The Certified Public Labor Attorney Qualification Exam is one of the eight professional qualification tests conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to select experts in the field of labor law. For this year’s exam, a total of 7,549 people applied and 343 people ultimately passed the exam composed of the first multiple-choice test, the second essay-type test, and the third oral interview. Among them, 231 people were in their 20s, and by gender, female passers were 197, accounting for 57.43%.
A total of Ewha students who passed the exam were 9, including Da-jeong Moon, Ju-yeon Seo (Department of Chinese Language and Literature, ‘16), Hye-sun Shin (Department of Chinese Language and Literature, ‘16), Seung-hyun Lee (Department of Information and Communication, ‘08), Eun-yu Lee (Department of English and Literature, ‘16) , Yu-jin Jeong (Department of English Education, ‘15), Eunji Jo (Department of Psychology, ‘14), Hyun-jin Joo (Department of Social Science, ‘19), and Ji-young Choi (Department of Business Ddministration, ‘15). Although the statistics of the schools from which successful applicants have been passed are not officially released, the high number of successful applicants from Ewha was recorded as a result of self-aggregation through a network among themselves.
The Certified Public Labor Attorney system was introduced as it became necessary to provide professional knowledge and experience in labor-related laws and labor management fields, leading to smooth operation of business or labor-related work and rational improvement of autonomous personnel and labor management. In recent years, in the rapidly changing business environment, the importance of certified public labor attorneys who are experts in human resources is increasing.
Da-jung Moon, who passed the exam with the highest score said, "After about a year and a half of the examination period, I have achieved the fruit of 'passing with the highest score', and I am particularly reassured and happy to pass this year’s exam with other 8 Ewha friends." She also added, “It is important to understand the basic laws in law subjects such as labor law and dissolve them in the answer sheet. In the business administration subject, it is important to write the answer that reveals a 'business mind' different from the law. Thus, it is recommended to continue practicing writing answer after completing basic skills such as legal principles before entering the exam.”
