Students in master's and doctoral programs in the Department of Physics, won the ‘Best Presentation Awards’ at 2020 KPS

At the online 2020 KPS (Korean Physical Society) Fall Meeting from November 4 to November 6, students in master's and doctoral programs in the Department of Physics won the ‘Best Presentation Awards.’

Seong Kim in master’s program (adviser professor: Professor In Sang Yang), who was selected as the winner of the presentation, made a presentation about ‘Resonance Raman Scattering Studies of localized spin excitation in hexagonal LuMnO3’. Jihyun Kim in integrated PhD program (adviser professor: Professor William Jo) presented ‘UV-Ozone Treated Growth of Highly Conducting SnO2 Thin Films for Various Device Applications.’ Chaeyeon Jeon in master’s program (adviser professor: Professor Chunglee Kim)’s presentation was about ‘Modeling development of the KAGRA MCMC Parameter Pipeline and performance testing by estimating the physical quantity of black hole.’ Jinkyung Kim in integrated PhD program (adviser professor: Professor Andreas Heinrich) presented ‘Electron spin resonance of a single atom in vector magnetic fields.’

For the Best Poster Presentation Award, Yugyeong Je and Ha Kyung Park were selected as the winners. Ms. Je (Professor Lee Sang-wook) of the Department of Physics made a presentation about ‘Graphene nano-electro-mechanical resonator arrays; physical properties and application to radio,’ while Ms. Park in integrated PhD program (adviser professor: Professor William Jo) gave a presentation about ‘Photogenerated characteristic of Na passivated Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 thin-film solar cells by Kelvin probe force microscopy.’
