Generally, a ‘year’ is updated by the number of semesters completed, not by the number of credits earned. “year qualification” is processed when both completed number of semesters and credits meet the department requirement. “Year qualification” is not a common academic concept and is used only for the administrative processing for school transfer and etc. |

Year qualification is processed at the end of each semester according to the number of semesters and credits completed(including credits earned through summer/winter semester). (Example: Year qualification is processed on the 29th of Feb, 2016 for Fall semester, and 31st of Aug, 2016 for Spring semester) |

Year qualification is evaluated by reflecting the number of semesters taken and the credits earned. Both requirements need to be fulfilled in order to qualify each year. So, if a student is in her 7th semester yet her credit requirement is not fulfilled, then her year qualification will not be approved.
