Yong-Uk Kwon Professor

Professor Yong-Uk Kwon received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Sung-Kee Chung in the field of bioorganic and medicinal chemistry in Department of Chemistry, POSTECH. He worked on the development of carbohydrate-based vaccines with Prof. Seeberger in MIT and ETH and worked on the development of peptoid-based libraries and their applications with Prof. Kodadek in UT-southwestern Medical Center. Then he joined Department of Chemistry and Nano Science, Ewha Womans University in 2008 and is now an associate professor. His researches focus on the interface between chemistry and biology. He has published many papers in top journals of chemistry such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Chem. Biol., Chem. Commun., Org. Lett., Adv. Synth. Catal., Sci. Rep., etc.
