Kyung-Hyo Kim graduated from Ewha Womans University, College of Medicine and finished her residency in Pediatrics at Ewha Womans University Hospital. After she received her Ph.D., she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Washington University in St. Louis with Dr. Moon Nahm. During that period, her main topics in research were vaccine and evaluation of immunogenic responses against vaccines. Since 1993, she has been working as a professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Ewha Womans University, School of Medicine. In 2002, she visited the University of Alabama at Birmingham as an exchange professor and participated in research of immunogenic responses to vaccines. After she returned to Korea, she kept up with her research and she has participated in many projects related with vaccines, including government projects. She is the director of Ewha Center for Vaccine Evaluation and Research which was founded by her on 2006. She is also the chairman of committee of infection of Korean Pediatric Society and the vice president of Korean Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Korean Vaccine Society.
