HwaYoung Lee, M.D. & Ph.D., is a professor of Department of Anatomy in School of Medicine and teaches Neuroanatomy, Human development, and Histology, etc. She is interested in placental functions in “fetal programming” and during the past few years, her laboratory has focused on the effects of the trophoblast oxidative stress on the pregnancy outcomes. Current studies include experiments for determining plastic changes of developing retina in strobe reared animal model.
