Dr. Ahjeong Son is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Ewha Womans University. She received B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Ewha Womans University, M.S. in Environmental Engineering from GIST, and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Delaware, USA. After graduation, she performed her postdoctoral research at University of California, Davis. She was an Associate Professor in Auburn University, USA and a recipient of the 2011 NSF CAREER Award, 2012 Auburn University Faculty Research Award before joining Ewha Womans University as a faculty member. She also serves as the Associate Editor for Environmental Engineering Research. Her current research interests include nanobiotechnology, environmental monitoring systems and devices, and gene quantification. Thus far she published ~30 SCI journal papers such in Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Environmental Science and Technology.
