Hea-Yeon Kim Professor Emeritus
Hye-Yun Kim, a professor in the department of fashion design/textile and fashion, studies about fashion art and design while teaching students with a more specific interest in fashion modeling and colors. She received her master's degree from Paris IV (Paris-Sorbonne University) and since the mid-1990s she has continued her study of color design mostly at color design research institute at Ewha Womans University and since 2000 she has engaged in fashion design-related projects and corporate consulting business at the same research institute. Having established "Ewha Brand" in 2005, she has been making an effort in planning and development of fashion products as well as in cultivating working-level industrial competence of her students. In 2012 she served as the chairperson of the Korea Fashion & Culture Association. Her publications include more than 100 works of art and some 30 research papers both at home and abroad, and she successfully carried out more than 70 projects of industry-university as well as of industry-university-government. She co-authored The Color from now on (Publisher: Book Publishing Kukje) and The futures that colors make (Publisher: Book Publishing Kukje) and translated World of fashion design: From planning to realization (Publisher: Cho Hyungsa)
