우정원 명예교수

우정원 교수는 물리학전공/수리물리학부 소속 교수로 비선형 광학 및 극초단 분광 연구분야의 권위자다. 미국 펜실베니아대학에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 광자결정, 메타물질 등에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 2014년1월부터 한국광학회장으로 활동하고 있으며, 현재까지 총 80여편의 논문을 SCI등재 국제학술지에 발표했다. 역서로는 브로노프스키의 『과학과 인간가치』(이화여대 출판부) 등이 있다.
